A Young Pedestrian Was Injured
in A Hit-And-Run Collision

One case involved a young man from the Perth area who was injured while crossing a road in Dundee on his way to the shops. He had almost reached the other side when a passing vehicle clipped him and failed to stop. At first, the shock of the collision made it hard for him to understand how badly he was hurt. When he was taken to Ninewells Hospital, scans showed a fractured pelvis, a fractured wrist, and soft tissue injuries across his back and side. He worked in a manual warehouse role, so the injuries had a direct effect on his ability to do his job and maintain his normal routine. For several weeks, he struggled with movement, needed help at home, and lost confidence about when life would feel normal again.
